Vulpix is the foundation female to our kennel and provided the valuable building blocks to direct our program. She is a once in a lifetime dog and we are excited to watch her progeny follow in her footsteps.

Energy level: High/medium
Biddability: High/medium
Handler sensitivity: Medium - depends what it is. Doesn’t like being told she made a mistake and is sensitive to vocal tones.
Vocal: High - not an alert barker (unless someone is coming into the home). Very vocal during play and when in drive or stimulated.
Human social: Neutral/social. Will politely interact when told to “go say hi”. Comfortable and confident in all public situations. Tends to have most focus on “her person”. Very attentive.
Dog social: Neutral and appropriate.
Environmental sensitivity: 2/10 - notices things in her environment and will give them a look, but never fixates. Confident and calm.
Velcro: 6/10 - likes to be near me and never strays far during off leash walks, but also enjoys her own space.
Affectionate: 6/10 - attentive and enjoys attention, but not always seeking it.
Problem solving skills/independent thinking: 9/10. Great problem solver, learns quickly.

Pros: Incredibly stable temperament - bombproof. Appropriately social without losing her focus on me. Adaptable. Intuitive. Wonderful with children. I am able to take her anywhere and never have to worry about her. Insanely high level of intelligence and ease of learning. Wonderful natural recall and drive to stay close to her person.
Cons: Can’t be trusted outside of a crate when home alone - she finds projects and likes to shred things. Very loud during play and when in drive.
